Bhubaneswar, July 2 (UDN): The Government of Odisha has signed a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Enterprises Ltd for a proposed investment of ₹1.01 lakh crore in the state.
The agreement, signed in the presence of Chief Minister, is aimed at boosting large-scale industrial development, particularly in the mining and allied sectors. The MoU was signed at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar.
As per the agreement, the proposed investment is expected to generate around 53,500 employment opportunities, significantly contributing to job creation and economic growth in the state.
The initiative is part of the state’s broader strategy to attract major investments and strengthen Odisha’s position as a key industrial hub in the country. Senior government officials, including the Chief Secretary and Industry Department representatives, were present during the signing ceremony.
Officials stated that the project will be implemented in phases, with further details on timelines and sectoral allocation to be shared in due course.
