July 21: The Odisha Higher Education Department has released the second merit list for undergraduate (+3 Degree) admissions for the academic session 2026-27, with 41,578 students selected in the second round of Phase-I admissions.
The latest selection round includes 23,839 female candidates, 17,737 male candidates, and two transgender candidates, reflecting wide participation from students across the state. The centralised admission process continues to ensure a transparent and merit-based system for students seeking seats in colleges and universities.
A total of 2,37,200 students applied during Phase-I admissions for over 2.87 lakh available seats across Odisha’s higher education institutions.
Ravenshaw University recorded some of the highest cut-off marks across streams, including 99.67% in Economics (Arts), 96.17% in Physics (Science), and 93.67% in Commerce.
Students who have selected the Freeze option have been instructed to complete admission formalities at their allotted institutions between July 21 and July 23.
The Odisha government’s centralised admission system aims to make the higher education admission process simpler, transparent, and accessible for students across the state.
