Odisha Vigilance Raids VIMSAR Official in Sambalpur Over Disproportionate Assets Allegations

Sambalpur, June 30 (UDN): Odisha Vigilance on Monday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to Dhanurdhar Biswal, Establishment Officer-cum-Office Superintendent at VIMSAR, Burla, in connection with allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Acting on credible inputs, Vigilance teams carried out the searches based on warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Sambalpur. The coordinated operation began early in the morning and covered four premises across Sambalpur district.

The raiding team comprised Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and supporting staff. Searches were conducted at the officer’s double-storey residence at Dhankauda, a house at Gudessinga, his government quarters at Medical Staff Colony in VIMSAR, Burla, and his office chamber at VIMSAR, Burla.

Officials said the raids are aimed at verifying allegations of disproportionate assets and examining relevant financial documents and property records. The operation is still in progress, and details regarding recoveries, if any, are awaited.

This development is part of Odisha Vigilance’s ongoing action against suspected corruption cases involving public servants in the state.
