Oil Tanker Reaches Paradip After Gunfire Incident

Paradip, July 2 (UDN): An oil tanker carrying around 2 million barrels of crude oil safely arrived at Paradip Port in Odisha on Wednesday after reportedly facing a gunfire incident near the Strait of Hormuz during its voyage.

The vessel reached Indian waters and docked at Paradip Port without any further incident. The cargo is part of scheduled crude oil imports for refining and supply operations.

Preliminary reports suggest that the ship came under fire near Iranian waters but managed to continue its journey safely to its destination. Authorities have not yet confirmed further details of the incident.

Upon arrival, standard security and inspection procedures were initiated at the port. Officials are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the reported attack and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
