Malkangiri, June 9: A preparatory meeting was held regarding the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Butiguda Higher Secondary School, located in the Malkangiri sub-division.
The meeting was organized at the Retired Government Employees’ Association Hall under the chairmanship of the school’s Headmaster, Purna Chandra Khandapani, while retired teacher Prakash Chandra Pattnaik presided over the session.
Among those present at the meeting were retired teachers Rabindra Kumar Maharana and Durgaprasad Pattnaik, social worker Asim Biswas, senior journalist C. Manchala Panigrahi, and advocate Ashok Kumar Pattnaik. Discussions were held regarding the arrangements and planning for the centenary celebration.
It was decided that the celebration would be held by the end of January. Former headmasters, teachers, and alumni of the school will be invited to participate in the event. A separate WhatsApp group will also be created to connect former and present students as well as teachers and to share related information.
At the end of the meeting, retired teacher Rabindra Maharana delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the session.
