OTET 2026 Postponed to July 5; BSE Odisha Revises Schedule to Avoid Exam Clash

Cuttack, June 23 (UDN): The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has postponed the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2026 and rescheduled the examination from June 28 to July 5, 2026.

As per the official notification, the OTET will now be conducted on Sunday, July 5. Paper-I will be held from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, followed by Paper-II from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

The Board has clarified that candidates who have already downloaded their admit cards for the earlier schedule will not be required to download them again, and the existing hall tickets will remain valid for the revised examination date.

The decision to reschedule the exam was taken after the OTET date clashed with recruitment examinations for RI, ARI, and Amin posts scheduled on June 28, which had created confusion among aspirants appearing for multiple competitive examinations.

Officials said the revised schedule aims to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of examinations, while also providing candidates with adequate preparation time. The move is expected to help avoid logistical challenges and ensure better coordination in the examination process.

The Board has reiterated its commitment to conducting the OTET in a transparent, fair, and student-friendly manner, ensuring convenience and clarity for all candidates.
