Over 1,000 Tree Saplings Distributed to Mark First Death Anniversary of Former Sarpanch Subash Chandra Mahakud and Honour His Memory

Asurali, Aug 11 [UDN}:The first death anniversary of Subash Chandra Mahakud, former Sarpanch of Gobindpur Gram Panchayat under Dhamnagar Block, was observed with due respect.

Several distinguished personalities, elected representatives, and local residents from different walks of life attended the memorial programme and paid heartfelt tributes to the departed leader. Speakers remembered Subash Babu as a compassionate, simple, soft-spoken and dedicated public representative who had always devoted himself to serving the people. His simplicity, humanity and commitment to public service have left an enduring impression on the hearts of the people of the area.

The participants recalled that he always stood beside people during their joys and sorrows. His untimely demise created a void in the community that can never be filled. On the occasion of his death anniversary, guests met his bereaved family members, expressed their deep condolences and prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul.

To make the memorial programme environmentally friendly and memorable, more than 1,000 tree saplings were distributed among the participants and local residents. The initiative was appreciated as a unique example of paying tribute to a departed public servant through an environment-friendly activity.
