Panchayat-Level Grievance Redressal and Awareness Programme Conducted to Strengthen Public Service Delivery and Community Participation

Jeypore, July 31 UDN}: A Panchayat-level grievance hearing and awareness camp was held at Ekamba Gram Panchayat under Jeypore block of Koraput district. The programme was attended by Ekamba Sarpanch Moti Suddha, Assistant Executive Engineer Bijay Kumar Nanda, Assistant Executive Engineer Rakesh Kumar Sahu, Panchayat Executive Officer Jayshree Nayak, GPDO Subash Chandra Khil, Assistant Engineer Mita Nayak and others.

A large number of villagers from the Panchayat attended the programme and apprised officials of various problems and grievances. Discussions were held on issues related to the construction of new roads, repair of existing roads, streetlights, drainage and drinking water facilities.

The officials present at the camp also informed the villagers about how they could avail themselves of the benefits of various government welfare schemes. The grievances concerning several basic civic issues were also heard and discussed during the programme.

Employees of the Rabanaguda Community Health Centre were also present at the event.
