Phulbani,Sept 22 [UDN}: A high-level review meeting concerning the functioning and development of all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in Kandhamal district was held today at Phulbani in the presence of Phulbani MLA Uma Charan Malik and the Kandhamal District Collector. The meeting was attended by administrative officials representing all ULBs of the district.
During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the progress of various development projects currently being implemented in the urban areas of Kandhamal. The concerned officials were directed to closely monitor the execution of the projects and ensure that all ongoing works are completed within the stipulated timelines without unnecessary delays.
The meeting also focused on key urban civic services, including sanitation, drinking water supply and the timely delivery of essential public services. Discussions were held on strengthening service delivery mechanisms and ensuring that residents receive government services efficiently and without unnecessary difficulties.
Special emphasis was also laid on the effective implementation of various welfare initiatives and people-oriented schemes of the government. The officials were advised to ensure that these programmes reach the grassroots level on time, are implemented transparently and that eligible beneficiaries receive the intended benefits without delay.
The review meeting underlined the importance of coordinated functioning among the administrative authorities of all ULBs to accelerate urban development, improve civic amenities and strengthen citizen-centric governance across Kandhamal district.
