Bhubaneswar, July 18 (UDN): President Droupadi Murmu is likely to visit Odisha’s Ganjam district on August 4 as part of a proposed one-day tour, with a planned visit to the scenic Taptapani hot spring tourist destination in Sanakhemundi block.
Although the official schedule of the visit is yet to be finalised, district authorities have begun reviewing preparations and assessing arrangements at the proposed locations. Ganjam Collector V. Keerthivasan, along with senior police officials including Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M and Ganjam SP Harish Bishi, visited Taptapani to inspect the site and review necessary arrangements.
The officials examined security measures, infrastructure readiness, and other logistical requirements in view of the anticipated visit.
Taptapani, known for its natural hot springs and scenic surroundings, is one of Odisha’s prominent tourist destinations. The proposed visit is expected to highlight the region’s cultural and tourism significance.
Further details regarding the President’s itinerary and official programme are expected to be announced after the schedule is finalised.
