Prestigious ‘DGP’s Disc’ Honour Conferred on Mukesh Bhamu for His Distinguished Service as SP of Sambalpur

Sambalpur:April 01:   On the occasion of the 91st Foundation Day of Odisha Police on April 1, the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sambalpur, Shri Mukesh Kumar Bhamu (IPS), will be awarded the prestigious ‘DGP’s Disc’. He has been selected for this honour in recognition of his outstanding service, efficiency, and dedication in the police department.
According to the office order (No. 911/ACR Cell) issued by the Odisha Police Headquarters, a total of 136 police officers and personnel across the state will receive this honour for the year 2025–26. In this list, SP Shri Bhamu’s name appears at the 8th position (Disc Serial No. 9410/11).
Under his leadership, Sambalpur district has seen commendable work in maintaining law and order and controlling crime. Along with him, Additional SP Shri Srimanu Barik and Constable Tapaswini Patel from Sambalpur will also receive this prestigious award.
Following the announcement, a wave of joy and pride has spread among the Sambalpur police fraternity.
