Bhubaneswar, April 24: Members of the Primary Teachers’ Association, who were protesting at Lower PMG, met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to present their demands.
During the meeting, the teachers raised two key demands:
Upgradation of their posts to Level-9, with a basic salary of ₹35,400
Inclusion of their contractual service since 2001 into regular service, along with provision of notional increments
The association also submitted a formal memorandum to the Chief Minister outlining these demands.
The Chief Minister listened to their concerns and assured that the issues would be examined at the departmental level. He promised that the government would work towards finding a suitable resolution.
According to association convenor Ramlal Patel, the Chief Minister has assured that concrete steps will be taken to address the problems faced by the teachers.
