Chandahandi, Aug 12 [UDN}:A Joint Public Grievance Hearing Camp was organized today in the Conference Hall of Chandahandi Block under the joint chairmanship of Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain and Additional Superintendent of Police Aditya Sen.
The grievance hearing provided an opportunity for local residents to directly present their individual and community-level concerns before the district administration and seek timely resolution. Additional District Magistrate (General) Dr. Pramod Kumar Pusti, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darbwan, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, along with senior district- and block-level officials, were present at the camp and heard the grievances of the public.
A total of 41 petitions were received during the hearing. Of these, 23 were individual grievances, while 18 were village-level or collective complaints concerning various public issues and local development needs.
The district administration took immediate cognizance of the complaints submitted by the people. One grievance was resolved on the spot, providing immediate relief to the concerned complainant. The remaining 40 petitions were forwarded to the respective departments for necessary action and resolution within the stipulated timeframe.
District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain directed the concerned officials to take prompt and appropriate action on the pending grievances and ensure that the cases are resolved within the prescribed time limit. The administration emphasized timely grievance redressal and effective coordination among departments so that people do not face unnecessary delays in accessing government services and resolving their problems.
The joint grievance hearing reflects the district administration’s continued effort to bring public grievance redressal closer to the people, strengthen administrative responsiveness, and ensure that genuine public concerns are addressed efficiently at the appropriate level.
