Belaguntha, June 30 {UDN}:The Jagannath Temple Administration in Puri has provided essential chariot materials for the newly constructed chariot of Lord Jagannath at Tribeni Sangam, located under Benipalli Panchayat in Belaguntha Block.
For the past 34 years, Lord Jagannath at Tribeni Sangam did not have a dedicated chariot for the annual Rath Yatra. This year, after decades of anticipation, a grand new chariot has been built for the Sri Gundicha Yatra.
To complete the final phase of the chariot’s construction, Benipalli Sarpanch Durgamadhab Nayak had requested the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri, to provide chariot wood, a ceremonial flag, and other sacred materials. Responding to the request, the temple administration supplied chariot wood, a holy flag (Dhwaja), and Nirmalya (sacred offerings) for Lord Jagannath’s chariot at Tribeni Ashram as well as for the newly built chariot of Gopinath Swamy at Benipalli.
The sacred items were received by Swasti Sundar Sia and formally handed over to the respective temples. Mahant Chidananda Swami Maharaj of Tribeni Ashram and Madan Das expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration for the generous support.
The development has brought great joy to the people of Madhabarida and Benipalli, who are now preparing to celebrate the upcoming Rath Yatra with great enthusiasm and grandeur. Local youth volunteers, including Srikanu Dakua, Krishna Chandra Pattnaik, Manoj, Kahnu, Niranjan, Suresh, Mrutyunjaya, and others, have been actively contributing to the preparations, reflecting the community’s deep devotion and collective spirit.
