Jeypore, Sept 9 [UDN}:The historic and much-awaited public Durga Puja celebrations at Rajanagar Chhak in Jeypore have reached a significant milestone, entering their 99th year. As the grand festival approaches its centenary year, the organisers and members of the Puja Committee have decided to make this year’s celebrations even more memorable and attractive for devotees and visitors.
It has been decided to organise the Durga Puja on a grand scale this year, with a large and impressive decorative pandal (Medha) being one of the major attractions of the celebrations. Special attention will be given to the overall decoration and presentation of the Puja venue to create a festive and spiritually enriching atmosphere for devotees.
In addition to the traditional religious rituals and worship of Goddess Durga, the organisers have also decided to conduct a series of cultural programmes during the festive celebrations. These programmes are expected to add colour, entertainment and cultural significance to the occasion, bringing together people from different sections of society.
As the Rajanagar Chhak Public Durga Puja completes 99 years of its glorious journey, this year’s celebration is expected to hold special importance for the local community.
