Residents Benefit from Free Check-ups and Awareness Drive at Health Camp in Mahupadar Gram Panchayat

Malkangiri, April 15:  As part of the Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 under the Mathili block program, a special mega health and nutrition awareness camp was organized at Mahupadar Gram Panchayat on the occasion of World Health Day.
The program was conducted under the direct supervision of Mathili Block Development Officer (BDO) Pramod Behera and witnessed participation from a large number of beneficiaries.
During the camp, a team of specialist doctors, pharmacists, and nursing officers from the Mathili Sub-Divisional Hospital provided healthcare services. Alongside, under the leadership of the CDPO, ICDS supervisors and Anganwadi workers guided beneficiaries on healthy food habits and safe nutrition practices.
People from remote areas such as Mahupadar, Kamarapalli, Salimi, and Temurupalli attended the camp. Hundreds of pregnant women, lactating mothers, children aged 0–6 years, and suspected tuberculosis and non-communicable disease patients underwent health check-ups.
Free medicines were distributed to all beneficiaries, along with nutritious food packets.
On this occasion, the Swachh Bharat Mission also conducted awareness activities and demonstrations highlighting the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
As a chief guest, the Mathili BDO highlighted the Poshan-15 program being implemented under the guidance of the Malkangiri District Collector. He stated that this initiative aims to eliminate malnutrition among children and ensure proper nutrition for pregnant women and adolescent girls through coordinated efforts of various departments.
The event was attended by the representative of the Nabarangpur MP, the Sarpanch, Samiti members, and other public representatives, who encouraged people to stay health-conscious.
At the end of the program, field-level workers were felicitated, and the Mathili ABF expressed gratitude to all participants.
