Kotpad,March, 6:: A monthly meeting of the Sarpanches was held at Bobeya Panchayat under Kotpad Block. The meeting was presided over by the President of the Sarpanches’ Association, Deb Majhi, and organized under the supervision of Bobeya Sarpanch, Banita Nayak.
In today’s meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the overall development of all panchayats under Kotpad Block and the effective implementation of various government schemes for the benefit of villagers. The members discussed ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive ration cards and old-age pensions, as well as improving rural infrastructure such as roads for transportation, drinking water facilities, and the provision of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
With the summer season approaching, special discussions were held about setting up water kiosks (drinking water stalls) at important junctions in different panchayats.
It was also discussed that all government officials of the Kotpad Block Office should maintain better coordination with the Sarpanches, extend cooperation in all sectors, and give due priority to their roles. The Sarpanches decided to raise these matters at the Block Office.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Bobeya Panchayat Sarpanch Banita Nayak, expressing hope for unity and cooperation among all Sarpanches in the block.
