Bhubaneswar: Sept 26 [UDN}:Sharvana Vivek has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Bhubaneswar.
After assuming office, Vivek stressed the importance of teamwork within the police department, saying that all personnel must work together as one team to effectively maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
He said that policing is essentially about teamwork and that coordinated efforts among all officers and personnel would be crucial in addressing emerging challenges.
Vivek also identified cybercrime as one of the major challenges facing the police at present. He noted that people are losing substantial amounts of money to cyber fraud and other forms of online crime.
He emphasised the need to further strengthen police capabilities, technology and coordination to effectively prevent cybercrime and protect citizens from financial losses.
The new DCP said that the police would continue to work collectively to address the security concerns of the people and strengthen policing across Bhubaneswar.
