SITL 2026 Set to Redefine the Future of European Logistics as Industry Confronts Structural Transformation

Paris, France, Mar 28: As global supply chains face increasing pressure from geopolitical uncertainty, decarbonisation mandates, and digital disruption, SITL 2026 is positioning itself as a defining moment for the transport and logistics sector. Taking place from 31 March to 2 April 2026 at Paris Nord Villepinte, the event is expected to attract 28,000 professionals, reinforcing its status as one of Europe’s most influential logistics gatherings.

SITL 2026 Set to Redefine the Future of European Logistics as Industry Confronts Structural Transformation

Now in its 43rd edition, SITL (Salon International du Transport et de la Logistique) returns under the theme “New Territories to Conquer”, reflecting a sector navigating deep structural change. While cost optimisation and delivery speed remain important, resilience, sovereignty, energy transition, and data reliability are increasingly decisive factors in logistics performance.

Organised by RX France, SITL 2026 will feature nearly 560 exhibitors, including 27% international companies, spanning the entire logistics value chain—from transport operators and intralogistics providers to technology firms, real estate developers, and public stakeholders. More than 600 solutions will be showcased across 10 key sectors, giving visitors practical insight into deployable, scalable, and operational technologies today.

“This is no longer about innovation for its own sake. The industry is looking for reference points—what works, how it scales, and who to work with,” the organisers emphasise.

The 2026 programme combines strategic debate with operational feedback through over 80 conferences and workshops, covering five major growth areas: digitalisation, sustainable development, mobility and infrastructure, talent management, and international expansion. Technologies like artificial intelligence, automation, and cybersecurity are explored not as concepts of the future but as solutions reshaping day-to-day operations. Decarbonisation and regulatory compliance are treated as operational imperatives rather than long-term ambitions.

A central feature of the event is the Metamorphosis Centre, a 2,000-square-metre hub designed to translate discussion into action. The space hosts expert-led conferences, collaborative workshops, innovation tours, and live interviews via SITL Breaking News, the on-site TV platform. Demonstration zones dedicated to last-mile delivery, robotics, and drones further underscore the focus on real-world application.

SITL 2026 also enhances its European and collaborative dimension, emphasizing cross-border logistics corridors, multimodal transport, and infrastructure coordination. Themed days covering European competitiveness, urban logistics, green transition, innovation, digitalisation, and risk management provide clarity in a complex regulatory and operational environment.

Beyond technology and infrastructure, the event addresses the sector’s talent challenges. The Campus, a dedicated space for recruitment, training, and career development, targets the shortage of skilled professionals in France’s transport and logistics industry, which represents over 2 million jobs. Sessions will focus on workforce skills, job attractiveness, and long-term talent resilience.

Innovation remains a cornerstone of SITL through the Innovation Awards and Start-up Contest, highlighting solutions that deliver measurable impact in automation, AI, operational performance, and sustainability. The event sends a clear message: innovation must be proven in the field, not in theory.

As supply chains become increasingly interconnected and vulnerable, SITL 2026 positions itself not just as a trade show but as a strategic forum for defining how the industry will secure flows, reduce impact, and build resilience together.

“In an era of accelerating change, the next territories will not be conquered alone,” the organisers conclude.
