Jeypore,Sept 17 [UDN}:: A Mandal-level Sri Aurobindo Women’s Study Circle conference was organised at the Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre located in the Irrigation Colony area of Jeypore. The programme brought together spiritual seekers and devotees from different parts of the region to reflect on the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the role of women in the path of spiritual transformation.
Sadhak Prabhat Bhai and Sadhika Malavika Apa attended the conference as the chief guests and delivered insightful addresses on the concept of the Divine Presence and the role of women in Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga. They highlighted the importance of spiritual discipline, inner development, devotion and dedicated service in the life of a seeker.
The programme began with the ceremonial hoisting of the Mother’s flag, setting a solemn and spiritual tone for the gathering. This was followed by two minutes of silent prayer and meditation at the feet of the Divine Mother and Sri Aurobindo. The participants observed the silence as an expression of devotion and inner concentration.
Sasmita Apa recited the Durga Stotra, invoking the blessings and divine strength of the Mother. Shanti Apa led the meditation and prayer, while Maa Book was read by Bijayalakshmi Apa. The Apas of the educational institution also presented collective Mother’s songs, creating an atmosphere of devotion and spiritual harmony at the venue.
The proceedings of the conference were conducted by Asombita Apa, while Sanjukta Apa extended the welcome address and formally greeted the guests, participants and devotees attending the programme.
In her keynote address, Sadhika Malavika Apa spoke at length about the role and significance of women in Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga. She emphasised the importance of women’s spiritual growth and their contribution to the development of a higher and more conscious society. Her address focused on the ideals of inner transformation, self-discipline, dedication and the pursuit of a deeper spiritual life.
Niharika Apa further enriched the gathering with a devotional Mother’s Vandana, which resonated throughout the assembly and added to the spiritual atmosphere of the conference.
Sadhak Prabhat Bhai subsequently addressed the gathering and elaborated on the relevance of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy and Yoga in contemporary life. He spoke about the importance of spiritual awareness, devotion and sincere practice in the journey towards inner transformation.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Gayatri, who expressed gratitude to the chief guests, organisers, participants and all those whose cooperation contributed to the successful conduct of the conference.
More than 280 sadhaks and sadhikas, including brothers and sisters from different areas, participated in the programme. Their presence reflected the continued interest and dedication of devotees towards the teachings and spiritual philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
Among those present during the programme were President Nirmal Chandra Mallik, Vice-President Harihar Sahu, Secretary Chandra Sekhar Mahapatra, Chairperson Suchismita Mahanty, Vice-Chairperson Sanjukta Patnaik, along with Aruna, Niharika, Sasmita, Shubhashree, Abhilippa, Kalpana, Sarojini, Soudamini, Mamali, Manoranjan, Om Bhai and Ashok.
The organisers stated that the conference was successfully conducted with the collective cooperation of all the participants and volunteers. They attributed the smooth completion of the programme to the blessings and grace of the Compassionate Divine Mother and Param Prabhu Sri Aurobindo. The gathering concluded in an atmosphere of devotion, spiritual reflection and a renewed commitment to the ideals of integral development and inner transformation.
