State-Level Training on Food, Nutrition, Health and Hygiene Commences in Bhubaneswar to Build Capacity and Improve Public Health Service Delivery

Bhubaneswar,  July 2 {UDN}:  With the vision of building a healthy and prosperous Odisha, the Odisha Livelihoods Mission (OLM) has launched a three-day State-Level Training Programme for the development of Food, Nutrition, Health and Hygiene (FNHW) Immersion Sites at the CYSD Conference Hall in Bhubaneswar.

The programme has brought together block-level representatives from all 30 districts of Odisha. Its primary objective is to strengthen the delivery of food, nutrition, health, hygiene, and sanitation services at the grassroots level, ensuring that essential welfare services effectively reach rural communities.

Through this intensive training, participants will gain practical knowledge on the proper implementation and management of the FNHW initiative. The programme also aims to enhance the capacities of Poshan Sakhis and other community-level functionaries, enabling them to promote better nutrition, improved health practices, and awareness about hygiene and sanitation among rural households.

The initiative reflects the Odisha Government’s continued commitment to improving public health, reducing malnutrition, and empowering communities through sustainable livelihood and social development programmes. By creating well-equipped FNHW immersion sites and building the skills of field-level representatives, OLM seeks to ensure long-term improvements in the health and well-being of people across the state.
