Malkangiri, May 16: National Technology Day was celebrated today at the local Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Malkangiri. The occasion marked the anniversary of the 1998 Pokhran-II nuclear tests and highlighted the country’s progress in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
The programme was organized by Mera Yuva Bharat, Malkangiri, under the chairmanship of Shri Biswajit Pangi, Zonal Leader. The event focused on responsible innovation for the holistic development of youth in the year 2026, emphasizing sustainable and accessible technological advancement.
Shri Debabrata Das, Training Officer, attended as the chief speaker, while Shri Damburu Mahant joined as the guest of honour. They discussed topics related to advanced technology, space research, digital infrastructure, and defence systems.
More than 100 students participated in the programme. Shri Santosh Patra, Coordinator of Mera Yuva Bharat, and K. Rolakshi extended support in successfully organizing the event.
