Balimela: Sept 16 [UDN}:An annual competition organised by Sambad–Ama Odisha was held at the PM SHRI Government High School in Balimela, drawing participation from 176 students representing different schools in the area.
The competition was conducted under the supervision of Headmistress Sushila Kumari Hial. Students participated in three categories—drawing, handwriting, and language skills-essay writing. A total of 47 students took part in the drawing competition, while 93 students participated in handwriting and 36 students competed in the language skills and essay-writing category.
In the drawing competition, Sanvi Siddhi Mohanty of IMST School secured first place, Rahul Hantal of DAV Gurukul stood second, and Rohi Sil of IMST School secured third place.
In the handwriting competition, Rajesh Pangi and Badal Sodi of PM SHRI Government High School secured first and second positions respectively, while Jyotirmayee Muduli of PM SHRI Navodaya Vidyalaya secured third place.
In the language skills and essay-writing competition, Divya Prasad Samantaray of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir bagged first position, Ayush Sana of IMST School secured second, and Jyotsna Durua of Kalinga Adarsha Residential School finished third.
Teachers from different participating schools were involved in evaluating the answer scripts and entries. At the conclusion of the event, Headmistress Sushila Kumari Hial presented prizes and certificates of merit to the successful students, encouraging them to continue developing their creative, linguistic and academic abilities.
The programme was coordinated by Balimela correspondent Ravi Rashmi Guru. The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talent in creative expression, handwriting and language skills while promoting healthy academic competition among schools in the region.
