Nabarangpur:Sept 26 [UDN}: A large number of students residing at Vidyaniketan College were safely rescued after floodwaters entered the college premises near Jamal Colony in Nabarangpur town on Friday morning.
According to reports, floodwater suddenly entered the Vidyaniketan College campus, leaving several hostel students stranded for a considerable period. As the situation came to light, the Nabarangpur municipal administration and Fire Services Department immediately initiated rescue efforts.
The Municipal Executive Officer and municipal staff, along with personnel from the Fire Services Department and local residents, joined hands to carry out the rescue operation. Through their coordinated efforts, the stranded students were brought out of the floodwaters safely.
The timely intervention by the municipal administration, fire personnel and local people helped prevent a potentially dangerous situation and ensured the safety of the students.
Residents of Nabarangpur have expressed their appreciation to the municipal administration, Fire Services Department, municipal employees and local people for their prompt response and coordinated efforts in rescuing the stranded students.
