Malkangiri, April 13: The second annual function of Gunduriguda Adarsha Vidyalaya, under Kudumulugumma Tahasil in Malkangiri, was celebrated with great enthusiasm on the school premises.
The program was presided over by the school Principal Maheshwar Sahu, while the MLA of Chitrakonda constituency Mangu Khilla attended as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included Khairput Block Chairman Bighna Kirsani, Education Officer Dillip Kumar Gond, Block Education Officer Gayatri Devi, Podaghat OAV Chairman Rajib Kumar Dei, lecturer Padma Sahu, and social worker Trinath Sagaria.
The event was hosted by teacher Rasananda Nayak and teacher Jigyasa Biswal. The ceremony began with floral tributes and lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the image of Jagannath, followed by a welcome song performed by the students.
Principal Maheshwar Sahu presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s achievements and challenges. In his address, the chief guest shared his personal journey, stating that he once dreamt of serving people through politics, which became a reality with the blessings of Lord Jagannath. He encouraged students to set clear goals and work hard with dedication to achieve success.
Other guests also motivated the students to stay focused on their studies and strengthen their determination.
At the end of the program, meritorious students were felicitated with awards. The celebration concluded with vibrant cultural performances by students, which captivated the audience. Teacher Patu Sahu delivered the vote of thanks.
