The artwork, made with the assistance of students from the Sudarsan Sand Art Institute, conveys messages of compassion, hope, and global support. It prominently features the appeal: “PrayersForVenezuela, Help the Victims.”
Pattnaik said the installation is a gesture of empathy for the victims and their families, and a tribute to those who lost their lives in the disaster. He also extended prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured and support for those displaced.
Sharing the artwork on social media, Pattnaik said the sand sculpture is intended to spread a message of humanity and solidarity during times of crisis. He added that art can serve as a powerful medium to connect people across borders and highlight humanitarian concerns.
Widely recognised for his socially relevant sand art, Pattnaik has represented India at more than 65 international sand sculpture championships and festivals across the world and has received several prestigious awards for his contribution to the field.
The latest creation once again reflects his commitment to using art as a voice for global awareness and compassion.
