Bhubaneswar, Aug 22 [UDN}:Supply Minister Krushna Chandra Patra held an important meeting with senior departmental officials to review the rising prices of essential commodities across Odisha. The meeting focused on the prevailing price situation in the state and the measures required to ensure that consumers do not face undue hardship due to increasing market prices.
During the meeting, the minister discussed the availability and prices of essential commodities in different parts of the state and reviewed the steps being taken by the Supply Department to keep prices under control. Officials were directed to closely monitor market conditions, ensure adequate availability of essential commodities and take necessary action against any irregularities or unfair practices that could further burden consumers.
The meeting also emphasized strengthening market surveillance and ensuring effective implementation of government measures aimed at maintaining price stability. The department is expected to intensify monitoring of wholesale and retail markets so that consumers can purchase essential commodities at reasonable prices.

The meeting underlined the government’s focus on protecting consumer interests and ensuring a steady supply of essential commodities throughout the state.
