Gopalpur, May 16: At the Savitri Yojana–2026 program held in the Gopalpur Assembly Constituency, Surama Padhy attended as the chief guest and stated that Odisha’s role in the field of traditional, value-based women’s empowerment is unique in the world. She also extended her heartfelt greetings and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of the festival “Savitri Brata,” which celebrates the sacred bond between husband and wife.
On this occasion, she distributed fruits, sarees, and puja materials among the women present for the observance of Savitri Brata.
The stage was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Odisha Government’s Minister for Steel and Mines, Commerce and Transport, Hon’ble Shri Bibhuti Bhushan Jena; Khallikote Assembly Constituency MLA Shri Purnachandra Sethy; Aska MP Hon’ble Smt. Anita Subhadarshini; State Women Commission Chairperson Smt. Shobhana Mahanty; along with other eminent dignitaries.
