Teachers’ Day Celebrations Held at Gadabaguda Government Primary School as Teachers and Students Come Together at Cluster Level

Tentulikhunti,Sept 16 [UDN}:A cluster-level Teachers’ Day celebration was organised with enthusiasm at the premises of Gadabaguda Government Primary School under the Salapa Cluster in Tentulikhunti block of Nabarangpur district. The programme brought together teachers and educators from schools under the cluster to mark the birth anniversary of former President and eminent educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, observed across the country as Teachers’ Day.

Additional Block Education Officer Kularanjan Suna attended the programme as the chief guest. The event was coordinated by Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator Dambarudhar Harijan, who played a key role in organising the celebration.

As part of the programme, teachers and women teachers from every school under the cluster were felicitated in recognition of their dedication and contribution to the field of education. The organisers also honoured retired teacher P. Bhaskar Rao of Charamula village for his long-standing contribution to the teaching profession.

A special felicitation was accorded to Prabhudan Hial, Headmaster of JELC Primary School, Panasapadar. He was honoured with the title of “Best Teacher” and presented with a citation for his distinguished qualities and contributions throughout his teaching career. The citation recognised his integrity, dedication, sacrifice, punctuality, artistic and intellectual abilities, selfless service, sense of duty, innovative approach and soft-spoken personality.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Block Education Officer Kularanjan Suna and Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator Dambarudhar Harijan highlighted Hial’s personality, commitment to students and valuable contribution to the education sector. They appreciated his sincerity and dedication as an educator and said that teachers like him play an important role in shaping the future of students and strengthening the education system at the grassroots level.

Several headmasters, headmistresses and teachers from different schools attended the celebration. Those present included Surabhi Rani Shodangi, Headmistress of Gadabaguda Primary School; Assistant Teacher G. Tripati Rao; Yashobanti Bishoi, Headmistress of Dingi School; Diptirani Suna, Headmistress of Charamula School; Draupadi Nayak, Headmistress of Salapa School; Kuni Bhanja, Headmistress of Dambaguda School; P. Chandraprabha, Headmistress of Gaudaguda School; Anupama, Headmistress of Mahulkot School; and Bhaskar Garada, Headmaster of Karlichhuan School.

Shyam Harijan, Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator of the Manchagaon Cluster, was also present along with a large number of teachers and women teachers from the participating schools.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shishir Ranjan Takti, Assistant Teacher of JELC Primary School, Panasapadar.
