Buguda, July 8 {UDN}: Vaishnava Charan Das, a teacher at New Era Public School, Buguda, has been honoured with the ‘Special Talent Award’ in recognition of his outstanding contributions to literature and education.
The award was presented during the Inter-District Literary Conference held at Asika to mark the 38th foundation year of the prestigious Bikshipta Sahitya Pratishthan. The honour was conferred by retired professor Dr. Binod Chandra Dash, while Durga Prasad Panda attended the event as the chief guest.
A resident of Bir Dhananjaypur Sasan in Buguda, Vaishnava Charan Das is widely recognised in Ganjam district as a talented writer, poet, teacher, and expert in religious rituals. He has authored three acclaimed books—Sharadiya Durga Puja Paddhati, Parba Ama Paramparara, and Sanskriti Sanchayana—which have been well received by readers for their cultural and educational value.
Apart from this honour, Das has also received the Prakruti Bandhu Award from the Government of Odisha and has been felicitated by several literary and cultural organisations for his valuable contributions. The conference was presided over by Gauripati Dash, while Dr. Shyama Prasad Mishra conducted the proceedings.
