Bhubaneswar, Oct 28 [UDN}: A Kalyan Mandap (community hall) constructed under the Bikashita Gaon, Bikashita Odisha (BGBO) scheme at Tankol village in Tangi Block of Khordha district is emerging as a valuable community infrastructure facility for local residents.
The newly developed community hall will provide villagers with a convenient and accessible venue for organizing a wide range of social functions, wedding ceremonies, cultural programmes and other community gatherings. By offering a dedicated space for important social and cultural occasions, the facility is expected to make it easier for villagers to organize events while strengthening community participation and social interaction.
The construction of the Kalyan Mandap reflects the government’s continued emphasis on improving rural infrastructure and expanding essential community facilities in villages. Such infrastructure plays an important role in enhancing the quality of rural life by providing residents with shared spaces for celebrations, cultural activities and collective community events.
The initiative under the Bikashita Gaon, Bikashita Odisha (BGBO) scheme represents another step towards building better-equipped villages, strengthening local communities and promoting inclusive rural development across Odisha.
Developed villages, empowered communities and a prosperous Odisha — another step towards a stronger and more developed rural Odisha!
