Mayurbhanj, June 30: A venomous snake was safely rescued from a girls’ hostel in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, after it was spotted inside the hostel premises, causing concern among students and staff.
Upon being alerted, a trained rescue team was immediately called to the site. The team carefully captured the snake and ensured its safe removal without causing harm to any resident.
No injuries or untoward incidents were reported during the operation. Authorities later released the snake in a suitable natural habitat away from human habitation.
Officials have advised hostel authorities and residents to remain cautious and report such sightings promptly to avoid any risk.
