Veteran Teacher Durga Prasad Majhi No More, Tributes Pour In for His Contribution to Education

Nabarangpur, May 04:: Retired headmaster Durga Prasad Majhi of Kusumi High School in Koraput district passed away this morning at his residence in Jamal Colony. He was 61 years old.
He had served Kusumi High School for 23 years before retiring recently, about three months ago. Apart from his contribution to education, he was also well-known as an announcer and theatre artist associated with Akashvani Jeypore, particularly for its Yuvavani and other programs.
At the time of his passing, his family members, including his two sons, daughter, siblings, and relatives, were present. Hundreds of students and teachers from Kusumi attended his last rites.
The अंतिम संस्कार was conducted at Chhatrabat cremation ground, where his elder son Devi Prasad Majhi performed the last rites.
His demise has been widely mourned, remembering his dedication as an educator and his contributions to cultural activities.
