Bhubaneswar, June 29 {UDN}: A low-pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal around July 2. Before that, a cyclonic circulation is expected to develop over the same region by June 30, which may gradually intensify into a low-pressure system.
According to weather forecasts, Odisha may receive below-normal rainfall on July 1. However, from July 2 to July 8, the influence of the low-pressure system is expected to bring normal to above-normal rainfall across many parts of the state.
The anticipated rainfall is likely to benefit agricultural activities and help increase water levels in reservoirs across Odisha. However, the actual weather conditions will depend on the movement and intensity of the low-pressure system, which may alter the rainfall pattern.
