Assam , May 13: Himanta Biswa Sarma took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam. He was sworn in as CM for the second time. Along with him, four cabinet ministers also took oath. The Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Khanapara Veterinary College ground. In Assam, the BJP-led NDA government has come to power for the third consecutive term.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ceremony. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were also present. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Assam in-charge Baijayant Panda attended the event as well. Chief Ministers from all BJP-ruled states participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
