World Blood Donor Day Marked with Blood Donation Camp by BSF in Jayapur, Witnesses Encouraging Public Participation

Jayapur, June 19: {UDN}:: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, observed annually on June 14, a blood donation camp was inaugurated by Commandant Shri Naorem Gopinath Singh of the 180 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF).

The camp was organized with the message that “a single drop of humanity can save a life,” encouraging people to voluntarily donate blood and raise awareness about its importance. The event was also held as part of the BSF’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, making the observance of World Blood Donor Day more meaningful.

Organized with the support of the Odisha State AIDS Control Society, the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from BSF personnel, who came forward to donate blood voluntarily. The organizers emphasized that blood donation can help save many precious lives.

The primary objective of the camp was to create awareness about blood donation in society and help address shortages in blood supplies. Carrying the message “Donate Blood, Save Lives,” the organizers appealed to everyone to make blood donation a regular and responsible practice.
