Young Girl Sets Inspiring Example by Celebrating Birthday with Book Donation to School Using Her Savings

Umerkote,July 28 UDN}: A Class IV student of Saraswati Shishu Mandir in the Umerkote municipal area of Nabarangpur district has set an inspiring example by celebrating her birthday in a unique and meaningful way.
The girl, Smrutija Subuddhi, had been saving money given to her by her parents and relatives over a long period. Instead of spending the savings on herself, she used the money to purchase and donate more than 100 books to her school as a birthday gift. She also donated a book rack to help the school library store the books properly.
In addition, Smrutija planted more than 30 saplings of different varieties on the school premises, spreading an important message about environmental protection. She also distributed fruits among around 700 students of the school.
Smrutija’s thoughtful initiative was widely appreciated by the school’s headmaster Bhaskar Mahapatra, along with all the teachers and staff. Her family members also encouraged and praised her for her noble and inspiring way of thinking.
Intellectuals and well-wishers remarked that it is not age but one’s thoughts and actions that truly make a person great. Smrutija’s gesture has become an example of how even children can contribute meaningfully to education, environmental conservation and the well-being of others.
On the occasion, the school headmaster, teachers and staff, along with Santosh Bera, Sarat Rout, Pradip Nayak, Smrutija’s grandfather Parameswar Subuddhi, grandmother Umadevi, Ojha Prafulla Patra, and her parents, among others, were present.
