ECoR Launches Safety Fencing Projects for Improved Railway Security

Bhubaneswar, March 6: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has started a major safety fencing initiative across various railway sections to improve safety and support higher train speeds. The project will cover 2,792 km of tracks at a cost of ₹865 crore.

Additionally, ₹207 crore has been approved for fencing between Titilagarh-Lakholi and Bolangir-Theruvali-Singapur Road sections. In the Khurda Road Division, ₹388.85 crore is allocated for fencing 1,025.3 km, including areas in Bhadrak-Palasa and Khurda Road-Puri. Future plans include fencing in sensitive areas like the Jakhapura-Kendujhargarh-Nayagarh section.
