In a major step forward, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of the Odisha Pushti Mission, backed by a budget of ₹100 crore. This mission will focus on targeted interventions to reduce malnutrition and promote healthy growth, especially among vulnerable populations. He reaffirmed that a “Well-Nourished Odisha” is fundamental to realizing the broader vision of a developed and resilient state.
The Chief Minister stressed that government efforts alone are not enough. The success of nutrition campaigns depends on the active support and participation of citizens, local organizations, and institutions. He urged everyone to treat the Poshan Abhiyan not just as a program, but as a people’s movement to create a strong and healthy human resource base for the future.
Through awareness campaigns like Poshan Pakhwada, Odisha is working to educate communities and inspire action towards better health and nutrition, setting the stage for a future free from malnutrition.
