Kotpad 13th Aug 2025: The Primary Teachers’ Association of Kotpad Block in Koraput district today submitted a memorandum to the Hon’ble Chief Minister through the Block Development Officer. The purpose of the memorandum was to demand the suspension of the Unified Automation System (UAS) implementation, in line with similar demands being made across Odisha.
The teachers stated that, from the ground reality in many schools in Koraput district, basic infrastructure is lacking. In some schools, students from three different classes are forced to sit together in a single classroom. Many schools also lack proper transportation facilities, network connectivity, and access to mobile data.
They pointed out that some teachers do not own mobile phones, and others do not use smartphones at all. Given these issues, they demanded that UAS implementation be suspended until adequate infrastructure is developed in schools. This, they said, would free primary teachers from mental stress and allow them to focus on teaching without disruption.
