Balasore, Sept. 21 (UDN): A major fire broke out at a restaurant near DIC Chhak in Balasore on Monday following the reported explosion of a cooking gas cylinder.

According to preliminary reports, the cylinder blast triggered the fire, which quickly spread through the restaurant and engulfed the premises in flames.
The intensity of the blaze also reportedly damaged several vehicles parked in the vicinity. The extent of property loss is yet to be assessed.
After receiving information about the incident, fire personnel rushed to the spot and launched an operation to bring the flames under control. Firefighters were continuing efforts to douse the blaze at the time of filing this report.
No casualties or loss of life have been reported so far.
The exact cause of the cylinder explosion and the total extent of damage are yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited as firefighting and assessment operations continue.
