Nabarangpur, 17th Sept 2025: The ‘Healthy Women, Empowered Family’ campaign will be launched in Nabarangpur district from September 17 to October 2.
On this occasion, a district-level coordination meeting was held on Thursday at 8 PM at Ashok Mehetta Meeting Hall, under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain.
Officials from the Health, Education, Women and Child Development, District Social Welfare, and Mission Shakti departments were present in the meeting.
The campaign will be conducted at:
- District Headquarters Hospital
- All Community Health Centres (CHCs)
- Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
- Sub-centres
- Ayushman Arogya Mandirs

As part of the campaign, from September 17 to October 2, the following will be organized:
- Disease screening
- Awareness camps
- Dedicated health check-ups for women, children, and especially adolescent girls
Key tests and services will include:
- Blood tests
- Non-communicable disease screenings
- Anemia testing
- Sickle cell testing
- Blood sugar tests
- Immunization drives
These will be conducted in:
- Schools in identified villages
- Villages with populations exceeding 1,000
- The health camps will be conducted in:
- All 10 CHCs
- 40 PHCs
- Ayushman Arogya Mandirs
- 1 Urban PHC
- 289 Sub-health centres
Additionally, special health camps will be conducted at every PHC with the participation of specialist doctors.
To ensure the success of the campaign, the District Collector directed all departments to work in close coordination.

- Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Dr. Santosh Kumar Panda
- District Programme Manager (DPM) of the National Health Mission, Shankar Acharya
- They participated in a comprehensive discussion on the campaign’s implementation.
