National Recognition for Basant at Children’s Science Exhibition

Nabarangpur, Nov 27: At the All India Children’s Science Exhibition 2025 held in Bhopal, Basant Chandal, a student from Nabarangpur district, was honored for his project “Krushak Bandhu” (Farmer’s Friend). Basant received an award for his innovative work.

The exhibition, held from 18th to 23rd of this month, featured participants selected from all states of India. Basant’s project, from Majhidhanua in Kosagumuda block, Nabarangpur, focused on an agricultural machine designed to help farmers. The device was praised by organizers for its ability to address farmers’ various problems and reduce respiratory diseases caused by dust and smoke.

After a detailed presentation of his project, Dr. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director of the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), appreciated Basant’s work. This achievement was made possible with the significant guidance of science educator Badrinarayan Bishwal.

Being a student from a tribal area, Basant’s recognition at the national stage has sparked waves of joy in Nabarangpur. The achievement was congratulated by District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, Additional District Education Officer Keshav Meher, Prakash Mahalik, District Science Inspector Chittaranjan Pattnayak, Majhidhanua Sarpanch Dayaram Pujari, Halba, CRS Parthasarathi Sahu, and all teachers of the school.
