A new Career Counseling Program for students in Jharsuguda was launched on Sunday at Tharsagada, inaugurated by Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. The initiative, part of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)’s CSR efforts, aims to provide students with valuable career guidance and life skills training, helping them navigate future opportunities.
The event, organized in partnership with local authorities and MCL, focuses on empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed career decisions. Shri Pradhan emphasized the importance of aligning education with evolving career demands and praised Odisha’s ongoing efforts to enhance higher education and skill development.
Shri Pradhan also spoke about the implementation of the National Education Policy nationwide and Odisha’s initiatives in sports and education, including plans for an IPL cricket match at the Malkonda Cricket Stadium in the next two years.
The event highlighted significant upcoming developments in the region, including the opening of a Heart Hospital and Mangal Hospital, aiming to boost healthcare infrastructure in Jharsuguda.
The program was attended by key officials such as MCL CMD Uday Kale, RDC Sachin Ramchandra Jodhu, MLA Takadhar T, and MP Pradeep Purohit, all expressing their commitment to improving education, healthcare, and sports facilities in the district.
