Bhubaneswar, April 07: In a significant move to include more eligible beneficiaries under the state government’s flagship Subhadra Scheme, aimed at women’s financial empowerment and self-reliance, a new decision has been taken.
With government approval, fresh applications will be accepted for one month—from April 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026—through the Subhadra Portal. The registration process will begin from Utkal Divas (April 1).
To be eligible, applicants must be between 21 and 60 years of age as of April 1, 2026. Eligible beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of ₹10,000 per year, paid in two installments, starting from the 2026–27 financial year and continuing throughout the scheme period.
Only those women who have not applied earlier for the scheme can submit new applications during this period. Applications from those who have already applied will not be considered again.
New applications can be registered through Common Service Centres (CSC) and Ama Seva Kendras (ASK) via the Subhadra Portal. Application forms are available free of cost at all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) and CDPO offices.
The Subhadra Scheme is regarded as a landmark initiative for empowering women in the state, and the government has made all necessary arrangements to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
