Odisha Board Directs Schools to Upload Class 10 Marks by October 31

Cuttack, Oct. 6 (UDN): The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has directed schools to complete the online submission of Class 10 students’ marks within the prescribed deadline, as part of the process for compiling examination and assessment data.

The board routinely issues such instructions to heads of institutions through its official portal to ensure that marks related to school-level assessments are entered within the stipulated timeline.

Schools asked to complete online submission

The marks-upload process covers academic components such as internal assessment and practical-related marks, wherever applicable under the examination framework.

School authorities have been advised to verify the entries carefully before final submission to avoid discrepancies in students’ records.

Once the prescribed window closes, further changes may be restricted through the online system. This makes timely verification and submission particularly important for schools.

Data crucial for result preparation

Marks submitted by schools form an important part of the overall academic record used in the preparation and processing of Class 10 examination results.

The board’s online mechanism is intended to streamline the collection of school-level assessment data and reduce errors during the final compilation of results.

School heads and designated officials are therefore expected to ensure that all eligible students’ marks are entered accurately and within the deadline.

Schools told to avoid last-minute errors

Education officials have stressed the importance of checking student details, marks and other required information before the submission process is completed.

Any mismatch or omission could create difficulties during subsequent stages of result processing and may require intervention from the concerned authorities.

With the October 31 deadline approaching, schools have been advised to complete the process well in advance rather than waiting until the final day.

Part of BSE’s digital examination process

The online marks-upload system forms part of the Board of Secondary Education’s broader move towards digital management of examination-related information.

By collecting assessment data electronically, the board aims to make the process of result preparation more systematic, secure and efficient.

Schools are expected to follow the latest instructions issued by BSE Odisha and ensure that all required Class 10 marks are submitted correctly before the deadline.
