Nandahandi Marks National Panchayati Raj Day Through Awareness Programmes and Community Participation

Nandahandi: April. 29:   While National Panchayati Raj Day was celebrated across the country, it was also observed in Nandahandi Block on Friday.
On this occasion, the address delivered by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the state-level program held in Balangir was telecast live during the event.
As part of the program, work orders were distributed to 130 eligible beneficiaries under the Antyodaya housing scheme. Additionally, the Social Security Department provided one month’s cash assistance along with pension cards to 16 दिव्यांग (persons with disabilities) beneficiaries.
The event was held in the evening at the Block office premises under the chairmanship of Group Development Officer Salab Chandu Babu. The Block Chairperson attended as the chief guest, while Vice-Chairman Sadan Gouda, Zilla Parishad member Arun Kumar Mishra, MP’s representative Janaki Kanta Bisoyi, MLA’s representative Jagadish Chandra Bisoya, Dhandra Sarpanch Chaiti Jani, Panchayat Samiti member Abhimanyu Naik, Dasanta Kumar Nayak, and acting Sarpanch Kanak Paik were present as distinguished guests.
The program was coordinated by Social Security Department assistant Bichitrananda Satapathy, with active support from officials and staff of various departments.
