Higher Education Admissions Open as Online Applications for +3 Courses Start Today; Classes to Begin from July 9

Bhubaneswar, May 30:  Higher Education Department has announced the schedule for undergraduate (+3) admissions for the new academic session.

Online applications for admission into undergraduate (+3) courses will begin from Wednesday through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal. Students can submit their applications until June 10 at 11:45 PM.

The first merit list for admissions will be published on June 17. Students selected in the first phase can choose options such as Slide, Freeze, or Float and pay the admission fees online between June 17 and June 20.

The first phase of admissions will be conducted from June 18 to June 20. Regular classes for the first semester will begin from July 9, according to the notification issued by the Higher Education Department.

Important Dates and Details

As per the notification, students must apply for admission through the SAMS website.
Colleges and universities must upload details of students admitted in the first phase by 9 PM on June 20.
The second merit list will be published on June 29.
Students selected in the second phase can make online fee payments between June 29 and July 4.
Admission in the allotted institutions will take place from June 30 to July 4.
Applications for waiting list/spot admissions can be submitted between July 8 and July 10.
Selected students under the spot admission process will take admission on July 17.
Institutions will upload spot admission details on the SAMS portal between July 18 and July 20.
