Tetuli Nikhunti, May 30: There is good news for the residents of the Indravati area. From today, a government bus service between Indravati and Visakhapatnam has started. Nabarangpur MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi inaugurated the bus service.
The bus will depart daily from Indravati at 8:20 PM and reach Visakhapatnam at 5:00 AM the next morning. Similarly, it will leave Visakhapatnam at 12 noon and reach Indravati at night, officials informed.
This bus service is considered very important, especially for people of the region who depend on Visakhapatnam for healthcare and other essential services.
Earlier, a bus service was operating between Indravati and Visakhapatnam, but after it was discontinued, people were facing many difficulties. Residents had drawn the attention of the MLA regarding this issue. Keeping public demand in mind, MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi fulfilled his promise by restarting the service today.
During the inauguration of the bus service, District Manager of the Transport Corporation Santosh Kumar Nayak, Additional District Manager Shubham Kar, and hundreds of local residents were present along with the MLA.
