Gurugram, June 3: K-IIT World School, Gurugram emerged as the champion in both the Under-15 Boys and Under-17 Boys categories at the CBSE Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2026 (Central Zone) held at the school campus. The host school delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, displaying excellent football skills, discipline, and team spirit.
In the Under-15 Boys Final, K-IIT World School, Gurugram defeated Navy Children School, Delhi by 3-0 to clinch the championship title.
The Under-17 Boys category witnessed a series of exciting matches. In the quarter-final, ASN Senior Secondary School defeated Delhi International School by 3-1. In the first semi-final, Navy Children School, Delhi registered a 2-1 victory over ASN Senior Secondary School, while in the second semi-final, K-IIT World School, Gurugram defeated KR Mangalam School, Delhi by 3-0 to secure a place in the final.
In the championship match, K-IIT World School, Gurugram continued its winning momentum and defeated Navy Children School, Delhi by 2-0 to lift the Under-17 Boys Championship Trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Neelima Kamrah, Principal, K-IIT World School, said,
“We are extremely proud of our players for this remarkable achievement. Winning both the Under-15 and Under-17 titles reflects their hard work, dedication, and strong team spirit. The event was graced by CBSE Technical Delegate Deepak Rana and CBSE Observer Moti Lal, who appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee, coaches, and young footballers. They congratulated all participating teams and encouraged students to strive for excellence in both academics and sports.
The tournament witnessed competitive football, outstanding teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship, making it a memorable event for players, coaches, and spectators alike.
